Dr. Seyed-Mohammad Omrani, the Vice-Chancellor of Research and Technology of Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences, announced bringing honor by 6 students of this university in the 25th National and 11th Annual International Congress on Research and Technology of Medical Sciences Students of the Country.

Referring to the holding of the 25th National and 11th Annual International Congress on Research and Technology of Medical Sciences Students of the Country from September 5th to September 7th, 2024, hosted by Urmia University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Omrani stated: In this congress, out of 19 accepted articles written by Shahrekord medical sciences students, 15 ones were presented in the form of lectures and posters.

He added: In this congress, 6 students of Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences won the top positions in different fields as described below:

*Iraj Baratpour, 13th-semester medical student: "Top rank lecture on pharmacotherapy, discovery, and evaluation of new drugs" and "Top influential article of the congress out of 3000 submitted articles, along with receiving a research grant",

*Mobina Abdoli, 8th-semester medical student: "Top rank lecture on non-communicable diseases",

*Mobina Bahadorani, 4th-semester master's student in medical biotechnology: "Top rank poster on computational biology and bioinformatics",

*Maryam Ghasemi, 4th-semester student of the discontinuous BSc in public health: "Top rank poster on emerging and re-emerging diseases",

*Mahan Farzan, 10th-semester medical student: "Top rank poster on stem cells, cell therapy, and regenerative medicine", and

*Elahe Sanjari, 8th-semester master's student in biostatistics: "Top student reviewer".

He noted that 5 international students of Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences were also present in the free part of this congress. Besides, he emphasized the exchange of the most up-to-date information, the sharing of researchers' findings in the field of medical sciences, and the contribution to raising students' scientific level among the key goals of the congress.

In the end, the Vice-Chancellor of Research and Technology of Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences congratulated the academic community, especially the university's selected team, for the scientific success in this congress, which was supported by the head of the student research and technology committee, the secretary of the research committee, the committee expert, and the university's expert on international affairs, and prayed for success, health, and prosperity from Almighty God.
